  # pkg list | grep kvm
  driver/virtualization/kvm 1.0.2-0.151002 i--
  system/kvm 1.0.2-0.151002 i--

  # modinfo -c | grep -i kvm
  #

  # add_drv -v -n kvm
  Reboot client to install driver.
  Driver (kvm) installed.

  # grep kvm /etc/name_to_major
  kvm 264

  # modinfo | grep kvm
  #

  # modload /kernel/drv/amd64/kvm
can't load module: No such device or address

Systems hangs shortly after reboot. Sadface.

It may be related to Sandy Bridge, though my SmartOS boxes usually took a bit
longer than ~30s to hang themselves.

Will try to get this into /etc/system

  set pcplusmp:apic_timer_preferred_mode=0

to see if that fixes it.
