[OmniOS-discuss] hostid missing or corrupt on /etc/hostid

You can try deleting /etc/hostid and running /lib/svc/method/svc-hostid as
root.  It _should_ create you a hostid.  Then again, it should have done
that in the first place.  I've never seen that fail.
