[OmniOS-discuss] tDom on Solaris

I have had some difficulty getting tDom 0.8.3 or frankly any other version working with OmniOS/Solaris. After a lot of experimentation the only method that worked was to change line 1793 in the makefile (where CC is set to "gcc") to CC="gcc -m64". The configure flag -enable-64bit option made no difference but this one change to the Make file did. Does anyone have any idea why this might be?
