<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>Hi all,<br><br>I am trying to build the latest omnios.<br>First tried the complete system, failed. Then tried to only build the kernel (command used: ./buildctl build illumos-gate), failed.<br><br>According to many posts, I downloaded the latest bloody version and then followed the documents on the wiki.<br>So, using bloody for this (but also failed on the latest stable omnios 151010).<br>Installed all dependencies during several runs of trial and error.<br>Even tried it with ROOT_OK to see if I missed any rights issues but still failing.<br><br>error in mail.msg:<br>==== Tools build errors ====<br><br>dmake: Warning: Target `install' not remade because of errors<br>The following command caused the error:<br>dmake: Warning: Command failed for target `mandoc'<br>dmake: Warning: Target `install' not remade because of errors<br>============================<br><br>nightly.log contains multiple errors like :<br>dmake: Warning: Target `def.targ' not remade because of errors<br><br>dmake: Warning: Command failed for target `uts'<br><br>ld.so.1: perl: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/perl5/5.16.1/lib/i86pc-solaris-thread-multi-64/auto/POSIX/POSIX.so: <br>symbol __mb_cur_max: referenced symbol not found<br><br>The following command caused the error:<br>cd intel; pwd; dmake install.prereq<br>dmake: Warning: Target `install' not remade because of errors<br><br>I have been testing this for the past two days, but before I go any further and ask for specific help, I want to ask if the documents on the wiki are up to date or if anybody knows of any supplemental documents which I must have missed. <br>(only looked at the wiki and all additional posts that I could find on the internet).<br><br>My point is that by following the wiki, I don't succeed.<br><br>the following thread espacially helped a lot to gain insights but handles an older version of omnios:<br>https://www.mail-archive.com/omnios-discuss@lists.omniti.com/msg00048.html<br><br>So if anybody knows of helpful supplemental documents for me to read, I would appreciate it, so I don't have <br>to reinvent the wheel unnecessarily.<br><br>Thanks<br> </div></body>
