Apologies for taking so long to respond back, I got sick, then way behind at work. </p><p>That's actually a perfect example of the problems I'm having: I'm a little too ignorant, and when I hit something I don't understand, generally some bit of prerequisite knowledge that I don't have, there aren't a lot of resources out there. For example, in the recipe it says: "<span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:courier,"courier new",monospace;font-size:14px;white-space:pre-wrap">Munge config.make link to add -shared". </span>I honestly don't understand what that means. However, in your response you say "<span style="font-size:12.8px">add -shared to the LDFLAGS" which seems to make perfect sense to me if I look at the configure line from the recipe.
